The price
Go Digital is a flat £10/month — no VAT added, no setup fee, no contract and no exit fee. The price you see is the price you pay.
What “managed” means
You edit your text, images, colour scheme and page sections. You don't get access to code, plugins, themes or files — that's how we guarantee your site stays fast, secure and unbroken. If you need something beyond that, ask us.
Email sending is yours
Enquiry forms send email through your own email account (SMTP details you provide — we'll show you how). Until it's set up, your site works normally but shows you a gentle “email not configured” notice, and form submissions are kept safe rather than lost.
Going live
Your site goes live the moment you connect your own domain name — or buy one from us at checkout and we point it for you automatically. Before that, you get a private preview link to build and review your site — it's not visible to search engines or the public.
Domains you buy from us
Registration isn't guaranteed. A domain's availability can change between searching and registering — someone else may register it first, or a registry may restrict it (some country domains carry eligibility rules). If we can't secure a domain you've paid for, the domain payment is automatically refunded in full to your card — your website and subscription are unaffected.
Premium names. Clearly-marked premium domains are confirmed by us within 24 hours of your order. If we don't confirm in that window, you're refunded automatically.
Pricing. The domain price shown at checkout is the price you pay for the first year. Listed prices may change at any time without notice — a change never affects an order you've already placed. If a price is shown in obvious error, we may cancel and refund the order rather than register at the wrong price.
Renewals. Yearly renewal is charged at the then-current rate — we tell you the renewal price before we charge it, and if it has risen meaningfully we say so plainly.
It's your domain. Domains we register for you are registered in your name. You own it, and you can transfer it away whenever you like — no lock-in, same as everything else here.
If a payment fails
Nothing dramatic happens straight away. Your site stays online for a 7-day grace period while we remind you. After that it's paused (a holding page shows instead). If the account stays unpaid for 60 days, we'll offer you a copy of your content — pages, text and images — before it's deleted. We never delete without offering your content back first.
If we improve your design
Our rule is repair, never change: we fix things that are broken, and we never restyle your live site without telling you. Every design change appears in your change feed. If you're not happy with one, tell us and we'll put it back.
If you delete a site
Deleting a site takes it offline straight away, and you can't undo it — you can't bring the site back yourself. Its web address is released at the same moment, so someone else may take it. If you need the site back, ask us and we'll tell you what's still possible.
We keep a copy of a deleted site for 12 months. That's so we can help if you deleted something by accident, or if you ask us for a copy of your data later. It isn't a recovery service and we don't hold it open as one — we tell you because you should know what we still have.
If you ask us to close your account, everything goes — your sites, your content, and any deleted sites still inside that 12 months. That one isn't a button in your account: tell us, a real person does it, and we confirm in writing when it's done.
If you leave
You can cancel any time. Your domain stays yours, and we'll give you your content — pages, text and images — in a standard, portable format. The managed platform that runs the site (our designs, tooling and updates) is what the subscription covers, and stays with us.
Backups
We back your site up automatically (daily database, weekly files) so a mistake or failure never means starting again.
Analytics
Every plan includes anonymous, cookieless visit counting for your site — visits, page views and top pages, shown in your member area. No personal data is stored: no cookies, no visitor profiles, no tracking across days, and IP addresses are never retained. You are the data controller of your visitors' anonymous statistics; TechChaps processes and hosts them on your behalf, and keeps them for 24 months.
Questions about any of this? Ask us — a real person answers. Or head back to Go Digital.
